PERSONAL INCOME TAX RATES FOR RESIDENTS AND NON-RESIDENTS?

According to article 25 of Circular 111/2013/TT-BTC.
✅ Non-resident individuals: PIT on income from wages, salary of non-resident individuals is determined by taxable income from wages, salary multiplied by tax rate of 20%.
In which: Taxable income from wages and salaries is determined by the total amount of wages, salaries, remuneration, and other incomes of the nature of wages and salaries received by the taxpayer in the period.
Time of determination of PIT: When individuals or organizations pay income to taxpayers.
✅Resident individuals:
👉For the contract from 3 months and more: Calculating base on the progressive tax table.
👉For the contract under 3 months: If the total payment of income is from VND 2,000,000 or more, tax must be deducted at the rate of 10% on income.
In case an individual has only income that is subject to tax withholding according to the above rate, but the estimate of the individual’s total taxable income after deduction of family circumstances is not enough to pay tax, the individual has income as a commitment (according to the form promulgated together with the guiding document on tax administration) for the organization who pay income as a temporary basis for which personal income tax has not been deducted.
