What is a work visa?
LD Visa is an abbreviation of “Labour”. This visa is granted to foreigners entering Vietnam for the purpose of working. The duration of the work visa must not exceed 12 months. If the work permit is not valid for 12 months, the duration of the visa that the foreigner can apply for will be equal to the duration of the work permit.

DOCUMENTS FOR WORKING VISA FOR FOREIGNERS
Operation license of the organization or enterprise: Business registration certificate, investment license, operation license of express branch, representative office. Enterprises only need to submit these documents once when applying at the Immigration Department; Certificate of use of seal sample or notice of use of seal of an organization or enterprise; A document introducing the seal and signature of an authorized person of the organization according to form NA16. This form only needs to be submitted once when the company submits the application. An application form for a work visa or extension of temporary residence, made according to form NA5; The foreigner’s original passport is still valid as prescribed; Work permit or work permit exemption in case foreigners are exempt from work permits; Temporary residence book or certificate of temporary residence of foreigners. The application for this procedure requires the following documents:
An application for extension of LD visa, extension of temporary residence in Vietnam, made according to form NA5; The original passport of the foreigner with a validity of more than 6 months; Notarized copy of work permit or work permit exemption certificate; The original work visa is about to expire.
